Day 1: CUSCO
Upon arrival at Cusco airport you will be met and driven to Hotel, where
you are advised to rest for a while to acclimatize to the altitude. In
the afternoon Cusco City Tour From 1.45pm to 6.30pm.
This tour includes the Qoricancha (temple of the sun) and the Cathedral.
The tour drives along the Circunvalacion Road up to famous fortress of
Sacsayhuaman , then to Q'enqo , Puca Pucara and Tambomachay Including
Spanish and English speaking guide. Also included in this is a tourist
card, giving you access to all the sites in the Cuzco area as a whole (i.e.,
including outside of the City itself). Hotel Overnight. (No meals)
Day 2: CUZCO / MACHU PICCHU (overnight)
All day excursion by train to Machu Picchu. At 5:30 am you will leave
the hotel to the Poroy station to take the 6:57 am train. Travel is in "Vistadome"
Class (formerly "Autowagon"). At 9:52 a.m., you will arrive at the Aguas
Calientes Station, from where you take a 25 minute bus ride to the ruins
of
Machu Picchu. Once there, you will have a guided tour, with an English
speaking professional guide. The ruins are on the eastern slope of Machu
Picchu in two separate arcas: the agricultural and the urban. Lunch at
the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge (included). Overnight at the Hotel (B,
L).
Day 3: MACHU PICCHU / CUZCO
Morning at leisure to explore the ruins on your own (entrance fee and
transportation not included this day). Relax at the local hot springs,
and enjoy the enormous beauty of Machu Picchu that certainly deserves an
extra day. In the afternoon you will take the train to Cuzco. Upon
arrival in Cuzco, transfer
to hotel. (B).
Day4: SACRED VALLEY TOUR (SHARED SERVICE: TUESDAY, THURSDAY AND
SUNDAY)
Breakfast. You will be picked up at 8:15 am. Full day excursion to the
Urubamba Valley visiting: the colorful Indian market in Pisac where a
mixture of color, tradition will be able appreciated The Valley has a
distance of 31 km (19 miles) of Cusco, and one altitude of 2,970 ms
(9,700 p), Pisac where we will visit the market, and is located to the
entrance of the Sacred Valley followed by Ollantaytambo, the older town
continuously occupied of the American continent. The narrow streets of
Ollantaytambo, along with their channels that have not varied from the
time Inca, evoke their ancestral inheritance, lunch in a typical
restaurant on the evening and then the Chinchero market. At the end,
return to Cusco at 6:30pm approx.
The night is free for you to eat in a restaurant of your choice;
although we always have plenty of suggestions for you should you require
them. (B, L)
Day 5: TRANSFER OUT
Transfer from hotel to the airport (B).
